Allen W. Carroll, 80, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Apr 5, 1993, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
A lifelong resident of Kalkaska, Mr. Carroll retired from the Soil Conservation District. He was formerly a member of Kalkaska Odd Fellow Lodge No 571.
Mr. Carroll was born in Kalkaska County on Jul 2, 1912, to Frank and Ina Rouse Carroll, both of whom preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Chester, Otto, and Leo and one sister, Vera Ritter.
Surviving are one brother, Rex (Dorothy) Carroll of Grand Rapids; one sister, Iva Nichols of Kalkaska; sister in law, Mary Williams of Rock A Way, MO; three nephews, Ken (Pat) Ritter of Kalkaska, Gene (Vrlene) Ritter of Haslett, and Denny (Carol) Carroll of Texas; and two nieces, Mrs. Tom (Candy) Teachout of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Bill (Sharyn) Carver of Penrod, KY.
Funeral services were held Wed, Apr 7, 1993, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. E. Dan Johnson, Pastor of the Kalkaska Church of Christ officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
