Alice Marie Becker, age 79, of Bellaire, died Dec 20, 1992 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire.
She was a retired secretary for the State Labor Mediation Board for the state of Michigan. A resident of Bellaire for the past 12 years, she was formerly from Hudson, St. Ignace and Grosse Pointe Park.
She was a member of the International Walkers Association of America, Slovenian Women's Association, and St. Luke Catholic Church in Bellaire.
Mrs. Becker was born on Jun 22, 1913, in Gilbert, MN, to Michael and Josephine Krisei.
She is survived by a son, Gilbert L. Ziegler of Traverse City; two granddaughters, Wendy and Kelly Ziegler of Traverse City; and two sisters, Frances Steinbauer of Laurel, MD, and Dorothy Hoffman of Harper Woods.
She was preceded in death by a sisters, Josephine Bartlett.
A memorial service was held on Fri, Jul 30, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, Traverse City. Fr. Dennis Stilwell officiated. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alice Becker Scholarship Fund at Northern Michigan University.
