Alfred A. Doll, 85, of Coldsprings Township, Kalkaska County, Michigan died Wednesday May 2, 1990 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. Mr. Doll had been a resident of Kalkaska County for twenty years, moving from Detroit following his retirement. He was raised in Kentucky, and moved to Detroit as a young man. He retired from Berti Plastering Company in Detroit, where he was a superintendent. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. 

He was born Jan 22, 1905 in Louisville, Ky. to John and Lillie (Hedges) Doll. He was married to Emma Arnold Oct. 3, 1926 in Kentucky, and she survives. 

Also surviving are two sons, Donald Doll of Atlanta, Ga., and Stan Arnold of Brighton, seven grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Geneva Kast of Louisvilee, Ky., and one brother Arvill Doll of Ferguson, Mo.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Harding, and Loraine Schary, and three brothers, John Doll, Omer Doll, and William Doll. 

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 5, at the Paullin Funeral Home in Mancelona with Right Rev. Father Samuel Koons officiating. Burial was in Coldsprings Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
